Casa Magica

Casa Magica is located on gorgeous Jade Bay just a short stroll down the beach from enchanting Akumal Mexico. This Riviera Maya vacation villa is nestled amid swaying palm trees, with a gorgeous blue Caribbean bay, ringed by a white sand beach, for a front yard. This truly is a magical place.

Pull into the off street parking, pass through a lush garden of tropical plants sprouting out of the sand, climb a few steps and open the heavy hardwood door to this magical place that will be your home for the next week. Upon entering this 5,000 sq. ft. beachfront villa you will instantly feel a weight lift from your shoulders. The warm earthen colors blend naturally with tones from the sky and sea to soothe you into instant submission.

The décor is a casual mix of old world charm accented with such things as pre-Columbian style statues, vases, figurines, and ceramic vessels, punctuated with all of the modern comforts one would expect. Scattered thoughtfully throughout the villa, these accessories help define the villa as being so much more than just a beach house.

An open and spacious floor plan between the living, kitchen, and dining areas offer an easy flow of activity and conversation, while still offering plenty of private nooks to snuggle in to. The elegant wicker sofas with an abundance of pillows create a cozy living room, while the open area above the living room that vaults up and through the second floor to a domed brick ceiling towering majestically above, further enhances the sense of space and ties the 2 floors.

The fully equipped kitchen is extra large, open to the rest of the living space and sure to be a focal point for one of those impromptu ‘kitchen parties.’ It is sure to please anyone who enjoys cooking. However you certainly should let the staff spoil you at least one evening with a traditional Mexican dinner served either indoors or ‘al fresco’ on the covered pool/beach side terrace.

Almost without notice, the glass sliders of the living and dining areas draw you out to the covered patio terrace and gorgeous swimming pool. On the covered terrace you will find a dining table inviting you to enjoy a meal al-fresco or your morning coffee. Deep blue and inviting, the pool is the perfect place to cool yourself, suntan on one of the ledges, or to simply enjoy each others’ company. Surrounding the pool is a luscious, lawn with small cement pathways, leading to individual sunning decks. A delightful wooden gazebo sits beside the pool providing some welcome shade to enjoy the ocean view. This is sure to become the favored place for those afternoon sundowners.

Back inside villa Casa Magica on the ground level at the entry foyer you will find a half bath, stairs to the second level, and the entrance into an oceanfront Master bedroom suite. This large Master bedroom suite has sliding glass doors leading out to a covered patio terrace, with the pool and beach just beyond. The suite has a King-sized bed, indoor and outdoor sitting areas, and attached large bathroom with an oversized shower.

Heading upstairs you will find a spacious landing with sitting area that leads to three more bedrooms. This landing is open and looks down on the living room area and up to a stunning brick domes ceiling. The first bedroom is another Master suite that is as spacious and inviting as the one on the ground floor. It offers a King bed, private covered oceanfront patio terrace with fabulous view, large bathroom with double sinks and an oversized shower. The two highlights that this Master has over the one on the main level is the brick domed ceiling and a Jacuzzi style tub in the bathroom.

The third bedroom also boasts an oceanfront view with private terrace, King-sized bed and private en-suite bathroom. Directly across the hall you will find the fourth bedroom in the main villa of Casa Magica. This large bedroom, offers two Queen size beds and attached private bathroom. This lovely room has a jungle view  through enormous panoramic windows and a small  balcony with a partial ocean view.

For groups requiring a fifth bedroom or a couple wanting some additional privacy, the self contained Guest House suite ‘Casita’ is ideal. This suite  is located on the second floor of a separate building on the street/garden side of the property just to the right of the main villa entrance. The ground floor of the building consists of a small apartment where the on-site staff live as well as storage and maintenance rooms. The Guest House suite ‘Casita’ consists of a non serviced kitchenette, sitting area with domed brick bobeda ceiling, and bedroom. The bedroom has a King bed, bathroom with shower and a small covered terrace. The terrace currently offers a partial ocean view through the empty lot next door.

Villa Casa Magica is what one imagines when dreaming of a tropical beach vacation. A casually luxurious home surrounded by white sand, a sparkling pool with plenty of areas to lounge around, a palm dotted beach, a gin clear ocean lapping at the shore and warm tropical breezes tickling the skin. Please note that this region of the Riviera Maya may be affected by shifting seasonal currents and weather patterns causing an influx of seaweed on the beach.

RATES

NOTES

1. Rates are in US dollars and do NOT include 22% tax.
2. Rates are subject to change until reservation is confirmed.
3. Base rate is for up to 10 persons. Add $500 USD per person for each additional person or $250 USD for children 9 years of age and younger (plus 22% tax).
4. The maximum occupancy is 12 people.
5. Minimum 7 nights (Saturday to Saturday preferred). Others considered on an individual basis. For accepted reservations of less than a week, there will be a 15% surcharge.
6. A non-refundable $45 USD Accidental Damage Fee Waiver is required which provides up to $1500 USD in coverage.
7. Access to this property is limited to the persons indicated on your confirmation. Exceeding this limit, parties, dinners, get-togethers, drop in visitors, or any other form of access involving non registered guests is a direct violation of our rental agreement and could be reason to ask you to vacate unless prior permission has been granted.   .
